On April 27, 2026, a webinar titled “Lessons for Radiation Safety from the Accidents at the Chornobyl and Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants” was held. The webinar was organized by the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) to mark the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl accident, with the participation of international organizations within the UN system and other international institutions. Yu. Skaletsky, a member of the National Commission on Radiation Protection of Ukraine (NCRPU) and Chief Researcher of the Health Promotion Department at the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,» served as a co-presenter at this webinar with a presentation titled «The Direct Consequences of the 1986 Chernobyl Accident.»
