Participation in the Brain, Behavior, & Mind 2026 Spring Conference

Specialists from the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine» traditionally participated in the Brain, Behavior, & Mind 2026 Spring Conference, organized by the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (University of the Military, Maryland, USA), which took place on April 21, 2026.

Staff from the Health Promotion Department presented a poster presentation on the association between the plasticity of schoolchildren’s behavioral responses during a blackout and PTSD symptoms three months later.

This work is indicative of the systematic activities of the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine» in the field of monitoring the impact of war-related factors on vulnerable population groups. It is thanks to such work that pressing issues, such as the impact of blackouts on the health of Ukrainian children, become the subject of international scientific discussion.
