April 16-19, 2024 VI International Symposium “Education and Health of the Younger Generation”

On April 16-19, 2024, the VI International Symposium “Education and Health of the Younger Generation” dedicated to World Health Day was held at the Dragomanov Ukrainian State University, which was held online using the Zoom platform.

Symposium organizers:

➢ Dragomanov Ukrainian State University (Kyiv, Ukraine);

➢ University of Szczecin (Uniwersytet Szczeciński), Faculty of Physical Education and Health (Szczecin, Poland);

➢ National Ecological and Naturalistic Center for Students (Ukraine, Kyiv).

Main directions of the symposium: 

1. Philosophy and methodology of health-preserving education.

2. Psycho-pedagogical, organizational, managerial, and socio-economic aspects of creating a health-preserving environment in educational institutions in the context of war and martial law.

3. Psycho-pedagogical and medical-biological bases of human health, health-preserving education, physical recreation, and adaptive physical culture.

4. Theoretical and methodological foundations of teaching health and safe behavior of children and students in war conditions.

5. Modern technologies for the formation of the personality of a teacher of health basics, bachelor’s and master’s degree in extracurricular environmental and naturalistic education, practical psychologist, specialist in physical education, physical recreation, and physical education and sports rehabilitation in the context of health-preserving activities.

Representatives of domestic scientific and educational institutions and leading scientists from Poland shared their scientific achievements and accomplishments.

Alina Platonova, Doctor of Sciences (Medicine), Head of the Laboratory of the Safety of Children’s Population Vital Functions at the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine», presented two reports:

– “Physical development of children at the present stage”,

– “The main trends in the physical development of children in Kyiv during a century until the beginning of 2022”.
