On 29.04.2025, the first interagency meeting on the report on the implementation of EU standards for drinking water in Ukraine was held
On 29.04.2025, the first interagency meeting on the presentation of the report «Overview of the Requirements of the EU Drinking Water Directive on the Establishment of Drinking Water Standards and Monitoring Systems, as well as a Proposed Roadmap for Ukraine» was held.
This report was developed within the framework of the EU4Environment – Water and Environmental Data program, which was implemented by three EU Member States agencies (UBA, ADA – Austria, OiEau – France) and two international organizations (OECD and UNECE).
One of the UN experts and authors of the above report was Olesia ZORINA, Head of the Laboratory of Surface Water Safety of the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,» Doctor of Biological Sciences, Senior Researcher.
At the meeting with the participation of water scientists, the Ukrainian Association of Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprises “Ukrvodokanalekologiya”, experts from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the issues of relevance of the developed “road map” and its further use for the implementation of European integration policy in Ukraine were discussed.
