The Department was established at the beginning of 2006.

The main scientific activities:

• Preparation of analytical and informational materials for joining of the Institution the international scientific associations, alliances on the issues of public health;
• Preparation of the materials on the adaptation and harmonization with the EU legislation in the directions of the activity of the Institute in the sphere of public health;
• Organization of the international cooperation and coordination in the sphere of public health;
• Support of the scientific research programs and agreements joint with foreign partners on the international collaboration;
• Preparation of recommendations for the use of the results of the international collaboration in medicine and other branches of the economy of Ukraine, introduction of the results into the practice;
• Activity on coordination and support of the state special programs;
• Scientific support and analysis of the performance of the state special programs;
• Evaluation and improvement of the approaches to the planning of the scientific projects by the sections of the programs using a special program method.
