🗓️March 26 – Purple Day (World Epilepsy Day)

👨‍⚕️Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders in the world, requiring not only quality medical care but also understanding and support from society.

📊According to current estimates, over 50 million people worldwide live with epilepsy. At the same time, up to 70% of cases can be effectively managed with timely diagnosis and proper treatment.

❗️It is important to remember that epilepsy is not a mental disorder, and people with this diagnosis can lead fulfilling lives as long as they receive support and are not stigmatized.

📣The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine supports initiatives aimed at raising awareness about epilepsy, developing modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, and fostering a tolerant attitude toward patients.

🔍Together – toward a society without prejudice.
