🌏FEAM Council Annual Meeting: Participation of Experts from the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and New Strategic Directions

📍On March 19, 2026, the annual FEAM Council Meeting took place, during which reports were presented by FEAM President Professor Ferry C. Breedveld and FEAM Operation Director Ms. Louise Abboud, as well as representatives responsible for key areas. During the event, plans for the future and the participation of experts in FEAM working groups were discussed.

During the discussion of prospects for international cooperation, the participation of Ukrainian experts from the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (NAMSU) in the FEAM Working Groups on Artificial Intelligence (AI), xenotransplantation, and age-related brain diseases was confirmed.

❗️FEAM Operation Director Louise Abboud confirmed plans for the active participation of Ukrainian scientists in these working groups and also announced that the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine will be exempt from membership dues for 2026.

📍In addition, the FEAM Council meeting adopted a decision to launch a new strategic direction: “Strengthening the European Medicines Ecosystem through Science and Innovation,” which underscores the organization’s priorities in the development of science and international cooperation.
