January 13 – World Day Against Depression

🔔War changes not only our lives – it changes our inner state.
👨⚕️Anxiety, exhaustion, loss of motivation, feelings of emptiness – these are not signs of weakness. They are the psyche’s reaction to prolonged stress, loss, and uncertainty.
☝️Depression is an illness that requires attention, support, and treatment.
📍In wartime, the risk of depressive disorders increases significantly – among military personnel, medical workers, displaced persons, families of the deceased, and those who live in constant tension.
🩺The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine emphasizes:
✅ Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.
Here are some important tips:
✅Don’t downplay your condition and don’t keep it to yourself.
✅Talk about your feelings with loved ones or a specialist.
✅Maintain a sleep and rest schedule, even in difficult conditions.
✅Limit your exposure to excessive amounts of disturbing news.
✅Seeking psychological or psychiatric help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Even in times of war, we have the right to support, care, and recovery.
💪Mental health is the foundation of our resilience, humanity, and future.
🫶With care,
