🌏March 12 – World Kidney Day

🗓️Every year on the second Thursday of March, the global medical community observes World Kidney Day – an international initiative aimed at raising awareness about kidney disease, its prevention, and the importance of early diagnosis.

📊According to experts, more than 850 million people worldwide live with kidney disease, and approximately one in ten adults has chronic kidney disease. The danger lies in the fact that in the early stages, such diseases often progress without noticeable symptoms.

👨‍⚕️The main risk factors for kidney disease are:

  • diabetes;
  • high blood pressure;
  • cardiovascular disease;
  • obesity;
  • genetic predisposition.

🛑Timely screening, monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose levels, and a healthy lifestyle help preserve kidney function and prevent the development of serious complications.

✍️The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine emphasizes: prevention and early detection of kidney disease are essential for maintaining human health and quality of life.
