November 20 marks two important dates: World Children’s Day and International No Smoking Day

☝️These two events are directly related, because children’s health begins with adult responsibility.
👨⚕️Why is this important today?
👶🏻Children have the right to a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
❗️But:
🔹 Every third child in Ukraine is forced to become a passive smoker.
🔹 Up to 85% of teenage smokers imitate the habits of an adult in their family.
🔹 Passive smoking leads to bronchitis, asthma, frequent respiratory infections, and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease in the future.
🔹 Children who see adults smoking are 2-3 times more likely to try smoking for the first time.
📍A child’s right to breathe clean air.
Children copy the behavior of those they look up to.
And it is adults who determine what they will see and what their future will be like.
👉 The best gift on World Children’s Day is setting an example of a healthy lifestyle.
👉 The best contribution to No Smoking Day is not smoking around children and not creating a “norm” for them that destroys their health.
☝️By protecting children today, we are building a strong Ukraine tomorrow.🇺🇦
