Scientists of the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine» will carry out demographic research in Bukovyna

Oleksiy BOIKO, Chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional Council, and Igor SHKROBANETS, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine», signed an agreement on carrying out monitoring studies of the demographic situation and reproductive potential of the population of Chernivtsi region of Ukraine within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in April 2022.

📊 In particular, it involves analyzing fertility, mortality, and migration rates, assessing the state of reproductive health, preparing forecasts and recommendations for local authorities.

💬 Today, it is essential to have reliable data on demographic trends, as this affects social policy planning, the healthcare system, and the development of the region as a whole. Cooperation with the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine will allow us to make more effective decisions.

✔️ Within the framework of the agreement, scientists of our State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine» will annually prepare analytical reports and scientific recommendations for the local community.

It is worth noting that researchers will carry out the research free of charge until the end of 2026.
