May 17 is Science Day !

This holiday brings together everyone who makes an invaluable contribution to the development of science, the discovery of new horizons of knowledge, and the introduction of innovations!

State institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, which, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 24, 1993, is the highest scientific medical institution in Ukraine, acquire new knowledge and deepen existing knowledge in the field of medicine.

Every year, more than 300 research projects are carried out at the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the results of which are implemented in all healthcare institutions of our country. More than 3,000 scientists are involved in scientific research every year, including more than 600 Doctors of Science and more than 1,500 Candidates of Science.

The scientific institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine bring together the best scientific personnel in various specialties. In 2024 alone, more than 640,000 patients were consulted at the institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, and more than 90,000 high-tech surgical procedures were performed. Every year, more than 450 new methods of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of the most common diseases are created at the institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, up to 90 new technologies are registered, up to 300 protective documents for industrial property objects are approved, and more than 2,000 scientific articles are published.
