Specialists of the SI «IPH NAMSU» will be involved in the work on the creation and scientific substantiation of industry-specific professional standards for public health professionals

On June 16, 2025, a meeting of scientists of the State Institution «Marzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine» chaired by the Acting Director of the Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Igor SHKROBANETS and with the participation of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Health and Preventive Medicine of the Bogomolets National Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Borys PALAMAR, launched one of the most important projects in the industry – the development of professional standards for public health workers, which is being implemented under the patronage of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the National Qualifications Agency and the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Medical Associations.

It is important to emphasize that from now on, the leading scientists of our Institute will join the work on the creation and scientific substantiation of industry-specific professional standards for specialists in the following specialties: Public Health Professional, Environment and Health Professional, Environmental Factors Research Professional, Environment and Health Specialist, Environmental Factors Research Specialist.

It is worth noting that professional standards will replace the qualification characteristics of professions that have long been outdated, fragmented and incompatible with the requirements of international standards.
