🚨December 14 – Day of Honoring the Participants in the Elimination of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Accident

✍️Today, we honor the courage and self-sacrifice of the people who were the first to defend the lives and health of millions by eliminating the aftermath of the greatest man-made disaster of the 20th century.

☝️Among the liquidators were medical workers – doctors, scientists, and specialists from medical institutions who, under extremely difficult conditions, saved lives, provided assistance to the victims, and laid the foundation for the development of radiation medicine in Ukraine.

📍The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine expresses its deep respect to all liquidators and bows its head in memory of those who gave their lives while performing this duty.
