On December 9, 2025, the director of the Amosov Institute, Academician Vasyl Lazoryshynets, together with a team of specialists from the Institute, arrived at the the Gerbachevsky Zhytomyr Regional Clinical Hospital, where they performed another operation to remove a fragment from the heart.

A 33-year-old soldier was seriously injured near Hryhorivka in the Bakhmut district after a drone dropped explosives.

The entry wound was located in the right subclavian area, with the fragment penetrating the heart, posing an immediate threat to life.🫀

Thanks to the prompt response of colleagues from the Zhytomyr Regional Clinical Hospital and the coordinated work of our team, we were able to stabilize the soldier’s condition and prevent critical complications.
