Guidelines “Determination of the specific activity of chemical disinfection and antiseptic agents” (summary)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Guidelines establish common methods and requirements for the determination of specific activity (bactericidal, fungicidal, mycobactericidal, tuberculocidal, sporocidal) chemical disinfectants (DZ) and antiseptic agents (AE).
The methodical recommendations include the methods for determining the specific activity of DZ, depending on the method of application (immersion, wiping, irrigation and soaking), as well as methods for determining the effectiveness of the AZ for hygienic and surgical treatment of hands. The establishment of the effectiveness of specific activity of DZ is carried out under experimental conditions in two stages: the quantitative determination in the suspension method; qualitative and quantitative determination on carriers in conditions close to practical application. The activity of AZ is determined by the suspension method and on the hands of the subjects (volunteers).
The obtained results of researches by the indicated methods allow to make extrapolation on disinfection of medical products, patient care items, surfaces of sanitary and hygienic equipment and equipment, other surfaces, utensils, linen, etc.
The methods defined by this document are based on modern scientific knowledge, EU standards, methodological developments of the EU and CIS countries. They contain the experimental conditions and the required number of obligatory controls, as well as the unique requirements for the calculation of results, which allows obtaining a reliable assessment of the specific activity of the means, which can be reproduced by other laboratories. In turn, this makes it possible to carry out an objective comparative assessment of the specific activity of different DZ and AZ.
The methodical recommendations are intended to determine the specific activity of DZ and AZ, which are used in health care institutions, health centers, in the care of patients at home, in educational institutions, in the objects of the food industry, in commerce, in communal services, in transport and others. where normative legal acts provide for their use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
