Manager\u2019s Handbook,\u201d<\/a> published by the Office of Sustainable Solutions with the support of the Professional Association of Environmentalists of the World (PAEW), includes the article \u201cRequirements for the Management of Industrial Wastewater and Its Sludge,\u201d written by Head of the Department of Urban Planning Hygiene and Water Management at the State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,\u00bb Doctor of Biological Sciences, Senior Researcher Olesia ZORINA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of the article is to summarize and provide a practical interpretation of modern approaches to the organization of industrial wastewater disposal, followed by the formulation of clear recommendations and rules for environmentally safe water use that are suitable for implementation at enterprises. The proposed recommendations are aimed at ensuring effective management of industrial wastewater and its sludge, minimizing negative impacts on the environment, and protecting public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article systematizes current requirements for the management of industrial wastewater and its sludge, examines the legal and regulatory framework governing them, the principles of organizing industrial wastewater disposal systems, the classification of wastewater, modern methods of wastewater treatment, and the specifics of sludge management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The material is structured into the following sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General Characteristics of Industrial Wastewater;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regulatory and Legal Requirements and Discharge Conditions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organization of Industrial Wastewater Disposal Systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classification of Wastewater and Methods of Treatment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of Wastewater Sludge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This publication will be useful for specialists in the fields of water supply and wastewater management, ecology, public health, engineering, and industrial ecology, as well as for representatives of government
