\u270d\ufe0fDear colleagues, dear friends!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nPlease accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian scientist, doctor, educator, founder of the national school of orthopedics and traumatology, prosthetic-orthopedic and rehabilitation care \u2013 Professor Mykhailo Ivanovych Sitenko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u261d\ufe0fThis anniversary is not only about a great scientist. It is an anniversary of Ukrainian medical science, its history, traditions, strength, and resilience. Mykhailo Ivanovych left behind a powerful scientific school that formed the foundation of modern orthopedics and traumatology, determined the direction of the industry’s development for decades to come, and is one of the key components of the national medical heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83d\udd0dHis scientific works were devoted to military field surgery, joint surgery, osteoplasty, congenital deformities of the musculoskeletal system, and issues of organizing orthopedic, traumatological, and prosthetic care. He created the first department of postgraduate education for orthopedists and traumatologists in Ukraine, founded the first professional journal, organized institutes, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and trained a brilliant group of students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, Mykhailo Ivanovych’s legacy is not only continuing \u2013 it is developing and multiplying at the State Institution \u201cProf. M.I. Sitenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,\u201d which is one of the most authoritative scientific and clinical centers in our country and is well-known throughout the world. Your daily efforts, innovative research, and achievements in clinical practice are a worthy continuation of the founder’s work and bring glory to Ukrainian medicine on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83e\udd1dI express my sincere gratitude to the entire staff of the Institute for their adherence to scientific principles, dedication to patients, courage, and professionalism, especially during these difficult times for our country. You carry the name of Mykhailo Ivanovych into the world \u2013 the name of an innovator, reformer, and great humanist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
