Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy and the A.P. Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery, are actively carrying out scientific research aimed at preserving vision, improving methods of eye microsurgery, tissue transplantation, and restoring visual function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd2c The Academy&#8217;s experts emphasize that many cases of vision loss can be prevented by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 undergoing preventive examinations 1\u20132 times a year;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 controlling sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 not ignoring changes in vision \u2013 blurring, flashes of light, double vision;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 protecting your eyes from fatigue and ultraviolet rays;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 not self-medicating for eye diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcac Science, technology, and humanity are the foundation of the fight for vision and quality of life for every person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine supports the development of ophthalmological science, innovations in tissue transplantation, and the rehabilitation of people with visual impairments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccd National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(date of publication on the website: 13.11.2025)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 13 \u2013 International Day of the Blind This day is intended to remind us of the importance of preventing vision impairment, timely treatment of eye diseases, and supporting people with visual impairments. \ud83e\ude7a Institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, in particular the V.P.
