Bukovyna plans to develop a comprehensive inter-sectoral program to overcome the demographic crisis<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u270d\ufe0f Bukovyna plans to develop a comprehensive inter-sectoral program to overcome the demographic crisis. After all, the issues of birth rates and public health in the current military reality are an important component of national security. The methodology for creating this document was discussed during a meeting held at the House with Lions. It was attended by the acting Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Council, Mykola GUITOR<\/strong>, representatives of the region’s executive authorities, and community leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcac \u00abThe existence of a program to overcome the demographic crisis will improve the quality of life of the population and enable effective planning of expenditures in the medical, educational, cultural, and social spheres,\u00bb said Mykola GUITOR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past 25 years, mortality in Bukovyna has consistently exceeded birth rates. The only exception was 2014. At that time, 11,679 babies were born, while 11,619 people died, meaning that population growth was positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udd31That is why it is extremely important to assess the demographic situation in the region and work to improve it. In particular, measures should be taken to reduce mortality among the working-age population, increase life expectancy, increase material support for families, expand the range of social services, create jobs, and create favorable conditions for the return of forced migrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Igor SHKROBANETS<\/a><\/strong>, a member of the regional council and Head of the State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,\u00bb presented to community leaders methods for researching the demographic situation in their localities and discussed sources of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2714\ufe0f The Chernivtsi Regional Council, the State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine\u00bb, and the Chernivtsi Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention will work on the program together with local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
