On September 17, 2025, a scientific and practical conference with international participation, \u00abWorld Patient Safety Day \u2013 2025,\u00bb was held<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As in previous years, the State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine\u00bb<\/a><\/em><\/strong> joined in organizing the conference, which is held at the Bogomolets National Medical University<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (Department of Hygiene, Occupational Safety, and Occupational Health).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program issues discussed at the conference included: the state of patient safety in Ukraine in the context of developing a quality healthcare system, the safety of young patients, improving the safety and effectiveness of treatment, and the emergence of new safety challenges caused by the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine\u00bb<\/a> presented two reports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abImproving the health technology assessment (HTA) system in the context of medical reform: a tool for improving the safety and effectiveness of treatment\u00bb<\/em> \u2013 Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Igor Shkrobanets<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 Director of the State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine\u00bb;
\u00abThe functioning of underground educational institutions for children and adolescents in the frontline zones of Ukraine as the first global experience in safety: current challenges and justification of the regulatory framework\u00bb<\/em> \u2013 Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Valentyna Makhniuk<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 Head of the Laboratory of Hygiene for Planning and Construction of Settlements, State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
