(max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On August 12-13, 2025<\/strong>, <strong><em>Arina PETROSIAN<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Tetiana MAREMUKHA<\/em><\/strong>, specialists of the <a href=\"https:\/\/health.gov.ua\/en\/structure\/research-departments\/laboratory-of-air-quality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Laboratory of Air Quality<\/a> of the State Institution \u00abMarzieiev Institute for Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,\u00bb took part in the <strong>TAIEX Workshop on Atmospheric Air Quality Legislation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the event, they participated in a discussion on implementing European approaches to air quality assessment in Ukraine, as well as the introduction of new legislation on the air quality index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ukraine has made an essential step in this direction by adopting Order No.&nbsp;590 \u00abOn Approval of the Procedure for Informing the Population on Air Quality by Key Indicators Using the Air Quality Index.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the workshop, participants discussed the following issues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ways to effectively inform the public;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>implementation of European Directives 2008\/50\/EC and 2004\/107\/EC;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>modern approaches to air quality monitoring, including requirements for reference and indicative measurements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was a continuation of a series of TAIEX initiatives \u2013 expert missions and study visits that promote the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU environmental standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
